Brain Cookie #2: Favorite Fortunes

by Taylor on July 11, 2009

braincookieOn my desk at work, I keep a collection of some of my favorite fortunes from fortune cookies I have received from my local Chinese restaurant.

To me fortune cookies are very special, they are proof that good things do come in small packages. There not only something sweet to eat, they are also packed with some powerful messages within (most of the time). Some cookies come with inspirational quotes, some come with compliments but overall they make you feel good and they are fun to read. I remember getting some fortunes in the past which came in ironic times and made a lot of sense to me.

Bottom line, people like to be told good encouraging things about their self, it just feels good. Some fortunes may sound kinda generic and are written poorly lol but never the less I really do love reading them! I think they should come in every food you buy! I keep some of my favorites displayed on my cubicle wall, they make for a nice positive affirmation on days when I need some extra motivation.

Here are some of my favorite fortunes that are displayed on my cubical, hopefully they will make your day as they did for me:

  • “You are one of the people who go places in life”
  • “Stop searching forever happiness is just next to you”
  • “Your emotional nature is strong and sensitive”
  • “You have great physical power an iron constitution”
  • “You are one of those people who go places in life”
  • “You have a deep appreciation of the arts and music.”
  • “A cheerful letter or message is on its way to you”

Discussion: What are some of your favorite fortunes you’ve recieved from fortune cookies?
